JFK Partners Colorado UCE and the Colorado Developmental Disability Council will jointly host the Fall 2018 PFP-IDE fellow, Angela Samson Massamu.

Located in Aurora, Colorado, the University of Colorado Denver, Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics/ JFK Partners and the Colorado DD Council are extremely excited to share in the reciprocal exchange of knowledge with Angela, a fellow from East Africa. Their partnership will allow for a rich and varied fellowship experience. JFK partners identifies their purpose to be six fold: Interdisciplinary Pre Service Training, Continuing Education, Clinical Services, Community Collaboration, Research, and Dissemination. They do this through a myriad of projects encapsulating both advocacy and policy. The fellow will be working directly with staff that helped in chairing the state’s Employment First bill that passed in the 2017 legislative year. Many of such staff continue to work on the State Employment First Committee. Other projects include: APSE involvement at state and national levels, Project SEARCH, UCE MH/BH clinic, and the Arc Self Advocacy Group. The fellow will also have the opportunity to visit an Assistive Technology Lab that is present on the campus.

Cordelia Robinson Rosenberg is a Professor of Pediatrics and Psychiatry at the University of Colorado Denver and will serve as Angela’s mentor. She will be hosting in conjunction with the rest of her colleagues. This site has prior experience with hosting Professional Fellows as they hosted an ADA Fellow studying early childhood education last year.
