The World Bank’s Robert S. McNamara Fellowship Program awards up to $25,000 to travel abroad and conduct PhD research under the supervision of of a host researvh advisor. Advisors are stationed at university or research institutions located in World Bank member countries. Fellowships will last for a six to ten month period between September and December 2019.
In order to apply, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a citizen of a World Bank member developing country
- Be 35 years of age or younger
- Be enrolled in a PhD program on a development topic
- Have completed all coursework and exam requirements to attain the PhD
